Veneers
A veneer is a wafer-thin, translucent ceramic shell which is bonded to the surface of the tooth – usually to a front tooth.
Veneers are used in the following areas:
- Chipped teeth
- Large, unaesthetic fillings
- Heavily discolored teeth
- Small gaps between the front teeth
- Teeth of different sizes
During the treatment, the tooth in question is first ground minimally but without damaging the tooth substance, then the wafer-thin ceramic veneers will be permanently attached to the enamel. The advantage over crowns is that much less tooth substance must be sacrificed. Veneers can also be used to compensate slight imperfections. Within a very short period of time you will benefit of an aesthetic highly satisfactory result.
Ceramic Inlays
Ceramic inlays are used for larger caries damages. They are more stable and durable than conventional fillings, and they have very good functional properties such as high durability and oral compatibility and can be adapted to the natural teeth in terms of shape and color. Therefore ceramic inlays look deceptively similar to real teeth.
Ceramic Crowns
The implementation of dental crowns is carried out when a large part of the tooth substance has already been destroyed and can no longer be built up functionally by a filling. The ceramic crowns are visually hardly distinguishable from a healthy tooth, as the transition between tooth and gum is not visible.
Bleaching
How does teeth whitening work?
The active ingredients contained in the bleaching gel can penetrate the teeth to unfold their effect in the enamel and in the dentin. This happens by breaking down the discoloring molecules in the teeth. Through this process, your teeth are whitened.
How long do the results of teeth whitening last?
The results of teeth whitening are relatively stable, so that you can smile with your new teeth color long after the treatment has been completed.
Does teeth whitening cause teeth sensitivity?
Teeth sensitivity is a common side effect of teeth whitening. Should it occur, it is only temporary and disappears completely after the treatment is finished. The products we use contain desensitizing components such as potassium nitrate and fluoride, which directly contribute to the reduction of teeth sensitivity.
Will my teeth be weakened by teeth whitening?
The teeth whitening gels we use contain potassium nitrate and fluoride. These have the effect of maintaining the health of the teeth enamel during the whitening process.
Are teeth whitening treatments suitable for everyone?
Teeth whitening is a safe and pleasant way to get a bright white smile. Depending on the extent of discoloration and the degree of whitening desired treatment times can vary. Crowns, bridges, fillings and veneers cannot be whitened. The degree of whitening of the natural teeth should therefore be based on their color.
We offer you different variants of teeth whitening. We use the following proven methods, which are both effective and gentle on your teeth:
In-office bleaching: Within one session, the color of all the teeth is whitened in a single session. The procedure is carried out in our dental office.
Home bleaching: With this procedure, you can whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home. You will receive an individual, custom-made tray and the suitable bleaching agent.
Internal bleaching: With this procedure, isolated teeth that have been treated with a root canal are lightened up from the inside.
We will be happy to advise you on the choice of the suitable method!
