3D X-ray
(DVT – Digital Volume Tomography)
Normal (2D) X-ray diagnostics are not always sufficient for the safe planning of implants, wisdom tooth removals or other surgical interventions. For the precise assessment of the jawbone or the course of a nerve pathway, we have the option of a DVT X-ray (digital volume tomography) in our office and can therefore plan your treatment with the help of a computer.
The 3D implant planning offers further advantages: For example, the implantation can already be carried out “virtually” on the monitor before the actual procedure, without you having to be present. An advantageous position of the implants and the implant size can already be determined before insertion. By using this method, a costly and time-consuming bone augmentation, that might otherwise be necessary, can often be dispensed with, as the existing jawbone can be better utilised.
